Entry Requirements:
- On shore overseas applicants on non-student visas: Must achieve a satisfactory level at the ATCWA’s Language, Literacy and Numeracy Test (LLN) to ensure that they can safely engage with course content, workplace communication, and achieve the course outcome. A valid visa permitting study or training in Australia is required.
- Domestic/local students and employees: No formal prerequisites; however, English literacy and communication skills are essential.
- Job seekers and other applicants: Must be committed to completing practical work placements and demonstrate genuine interest in a career in individual support.
- Australian citizens and permanent residents
- All applicants: Must be physically and mentally fit to undertake practical tasks involved in individual support work, including lifting and assisting clients.
Note: Some work placements may require police checks, immunization records, and/or First Aid certification prior to commencement.

Course Structure:
The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support requires you to complete 15 units of competencies: Nine (9) core and six (6) elective units.

Work Placement Strategy:
Work placement is a core component of the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support, designed to give students real-world experience and apply their classroom learning in a professional care setting.
- Placement Duration: You are required to complete a minimum of 120 hours of practical placement in an approved aged care, disability, or community support facility.

- Attend a pre-placement briefing session
