This qualification helps you develop the skill and knowledge required to be an effective Business Manager, Team Leader, Project Manager of any other positions relevant and applicable in leadership and management. Also, it provides you with the opportunity to apply skills and experience in a leadership and management role to practice a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters. During the Work-Based Training of the course, you will be able to develop and use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer your knowledge to others, and to develop and use conceptual skills to express ideas, and perspectives to respond to complex problems.
Course Duration:
You will complete this course within 78 weeks which includes;
- 50 Weeks of delivery
- 10 weeks of work-based training
- 18 weeks of Holidays/Term breaks
Weekly Delivery Schedule:
2 Days: Face-to-Face in class & 5 hours of E-learning
Course Entry Requirements:
You will be able to enrol in this qualification if you can demonstrate the following:
Academic:
- Be 18 years of age or above
- Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the Business Services Training Package (current or superseded equivalent versions)
English Language:
- IELTS Test Score of 5.5; OR
- TOEFL (iBT) Test Score of 46; OR
- PTE Academic Test Score of 42; OR
- Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) Test Score of 47; OR
- OET Pass Grade; OR
- TOEFL (PBT) Test Score of 527 (only if IELTS is not available); OR
- International student currently studying in Australia who have studied for a period of 6 months or more at AQF Certificate IV level or above.
Training & Assessment Strategy:
The training and assessment strategy of this qualification includes the following methods of delivery and assessment to suit your learning style and the requirements of each unit of competency.
- Face to face discussions, learning activities and some skills observation tasks conduct in class
- Work-based training and assessment activities
- Portfolio Evidence
- Real work/life experience
- Simulated work-based learning and assessment
- Written assessments including projects and knowledge based questions
- Structured and guided e-learning activities
- Industry excursions and incursions
- Other specific methods applicable in order to the requirements of the units of competency
Work-Based Training:
Enrolling in this course enables you to work and gain experience in one of ATCWA’s approved business organisations in Western Australia. According to the Work-Based Traineeship plan, you will be provided with the opportunity to work in an appropriate business/organisation for a period of 200 hours. This Traineeship plan aims to provide you with the opportunity to learn, develop and practice skills that you required to be an effective manager who is able to effectively manage and lead a team. It enables you to gain real work experience and be prepared to start your career in a suitable management role.
