CERTIFICATE II IN WORKPLACE SKILLS
(Under School-Based Traineeship)
This qualification assists you to develop your skills to meet job requirements in a variety of entry-level Business Services job roles. It also focuses on providing opportunities for individuals who have not yet entered the workforce, and are developing the necessary skills in preparation for work. Throughout the qualification, you will be trained to carry out a range of basic procedural, clerical, administrative, or operational tasks that require self-management and technology skills. You will also learn to perform a range of routine tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge under direct supervision.
The graduates who successfully complete this course will be able to work in the following job roles yet not limited to;
- Customer Service Assistant
- Office Assistant
- Administrative Assistant
- Customer Service Adviser
- Date Entry Operator
Course Duration:
Depending on your skills level, you will complete this course within from 52 weeks to 78 weeks (12 – 18 Months)
Delivery Mode & Schedule:
This program is focused on the school-based candidates so it’s highly flexible and self-paced since the training and assessment is conducted in the workplace. Trainees who will be eligible to study under the ATCWA‘s “School-Based Traineeship” will be able to achieve the qualification after practicing and demonstrating the skills on the assigned job roles. According to the skill level of each trainee, the delivery and assessment plan of the course will be customised and adjusted to meet their learning styles/needs. Commencement date is negotiable.
Entry Requirements:
You will be able to enrol in this qualification if you can demonstrate the following.
- Be 18 years of age or above
- Be an Australian citizen or a Permanent residence
- Meet the ATCWA’s Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) requirements applicable to the level of the qualification
Training & Assessment Strategy:
According to the School-Based Traineeship plan, the following methods of delivery and assessment will be used to suit your learning style, workplace conditions and the requirements of each unit of competency.
- Face to face discussions, learning activities and some skills development tasks conducted in the workplace
- Assessment activities to complete on the job
- Skills observations in the workplace
- Portfolio Evidence
- Other specific training and assessment methods that may applicable in order to the requirements of the units of competency

Fees Applicable:
Trainees who will be eligible to study under the school-based traineeship do not require to pay any fee.
